
Lifetime Membership Guidelines
Pursuant to the board’s approval on December 12, 2024, the following guidelines are established for Life Membership in NECA.

Any member of NECA who is in good standing and retirement eligible may attain Life Membership by contributing a minimum of $1500 to one of NECA’s standing endowments or annual grants.Directed contributions are tax deductible, benefitting both the member and NECA’s philanthropic endeavors.

Good standing is defined as an active member whose dues are paid through the current year or year before Life Membership is being sought.

Retirement eligible means that the NECA member has either retired or will be retiring from company or corporation employment within the next year.NECA members which are self-employed as consultants shall be considered retirement eligible.

A minimum retirement age of 50 is established.

Contributions will be coordinated through the Scholarship Committee, with the pending Life Member initiating contact to one of the Scholarship Committee members and designating which endowment or grant they would like to direct their gift.

Once selected, the appropriate Scholarship Committee member will provide the contact and required donation information for the designated institution.Donations made shall be designated for the NECA endowment or In Honor of NECA.

Donations can be made directly by members, through member Donor Advised Funds or by a member’s employer on their behalf as a recognition of their upcoming retirement.

The pending Life Member will provide confirmation of receipt of the donation by the designated institution to the Scholarship Committee member.

The Scholarship Committee will provide a list of all Life Members with verified donations to the Membership Committee.

Life Members will no longer be required to pay annual dues and will be eligible for member rates at all NECA functions.
